Arno Wild Water Rafting is an exhilarating and breathtaking route where the Arno, still wild before being harnessed to enter the gates of Florence, flows powerfully and creates rapids, big waves, foam… a veritable rafting experience among the Florentine hills, surrounded by typical landscapes of cypresses, olives and vineyards.
One of the special features along the route is an abandoned mill, where the movie La Bella Mugnaia, starring Sofia Loren, was filmed in 1956.
At the end of the route we’ll find the famous Bottega di Rosano, where they make delicious sandwiches and typical tuscan cousine meals. All just a 25-minute drive from the historic center of Florence. Accessible also by train, by disembarking at the S. Ellero station on the Florence-Arezzo line. The first rapid is right under the arch of the railway bridge!
